Tests: Accutane Prevents One Type of Blindness

Doctors may be able to tap an unwanted side effect of the acne drug Accutane to help prevent a type of as yet untreatable blindness that afflicts 30,000 children and young adults in the U.S. The blindness is known as Stargardt's macular degeneration.
