I was reading about TCM and have decided to make an appointment re accupuncture to help my menopausal symptoms. When making my appt, should I describe specifically, my symptoms? How can I best help him/her treat me? Thanks!

I've had 7 sessions with my acupuncture lady, and she's stopped my hot flashes, and my periods are regular, and my bladder feels like it's properly supported, so it really helped me. Acupuncture reset a switch in my body (without having to do a bunch of detoxing or fasting), and I am getting good results. I wish I had found it first before I did all the fasting and detoxing. :)

Anyone know of a good, inexpensive practictioner on the upper west side of NYC? The gal someone recommended to me charges a whopping $150 per session and it's not covered by insurance.

Hi Trish,
Yes, say what's going on. When you arrive for the appointment, the acupuncturist will guide you to give her/him the info needed about your health.
Best wishes,
Jan

Hey Susan,
I too am having just fabulous results with my acupuncture, in every
way. My body feels so much healthier, and it just keeps improving. I
am truly amazed at this practice, and I have to say, it beats anything I
have ever done in my life for my health, besides a healthy diet.

I went and it was awesome. He wants me to go in every week but I can't afford it-my insurance only pays part of it, but it's much better then nothing, so Im happy, and Im happy with the results. I left feeling so relaxed, havent had any hot flashes, feel my mind is clearer and have more energy. I'm convinced! Can't wait to see future results! Thanks Walt. You told me to check into TCM, I research the archives and decided to try it. Wow.

Thanks, Trish!
It is always good to hear feedback, beneficial or not.
