I am a 31 year old female, and for the past few years I have developed bulging veins all throughout my arms and hands. My feet are beginning to develop these, too. I read some archived messages here about skin thinning as you age and that we lose collagen. Is there anything that can be done to stimulate collagen production, or to strengthen the veins so they don't bulge, if that is what is happening? If I build my arm muscles up would that just make the veins more noticeable, or help cover it? It is getting more difficult to deal with this as the weather gets hotter. They look terrible and like there is something wrong with me. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.

Some of the tendency to develop this is genetic. If your veins are
large and close to the surface they will bulge more. If you are very
thin that makes it more pronounced. You will notice that very
overweight people rarely have this.
You are in good company at least. A lot of the super thin
Hollywood actresses seem to have bulging veins now too.
Especially Angelina Jolie!

Hi, Anonymous.
Listen to Elizabeth.
So far as I know, the only choice you have is to retard and reverse the aging process as much as you can. Go to the aging archives and start practicing serious wellness ASAP.
Since there is so much research being done in this area, now, you really need to become an expert in the process and never stop learning. The most currently known is in the area of nutrition & exercise.
