Can you Dr. Stoll or anybody with experience with this plague tell me if you can use tea tree oil and the vinegar both to cure this. I have been just using the vinegar for 7 months now and it, the phungus, clears to a certain point then it seems to spread back into the clear uninfected nail growing in.....I mean you talk about feeling frustrated...I am there my friends. I have had about enough of this. I have tried to resort to sporanax again to clear this but they won't let me take it again because they don't think i have it as bad. I wish these podiatrists knew how this effects a person mentally. If they knew, they would definetely prescribe it to you. I wish I would have known about the vinegar protocol when my nails were normal for 5 years after the sporanax cured it. I would have used the vinegar to make sure it never "PLAGUED" me again. I just feel like a scum again because of this.
I am familiar with all the susceptability factors involved. I change my socks twice, sometimes even three times/per day. I never miss a dose of vinegar either. I also terrycloth between the toes during every shower.
Tell me please somebody.....what in God's name am I forgetting????? Do i actually need to start doing SR to improve this....Is it worth the six month wait and expense for the biofeedback equipment. Does the SR really improve TOENAIL PHUNGUS or is it just something to say on this website.......HELP!!!

Ok. I was doing the vinegar thing for, ahem, longer than you have been, BUT I wasn't doing the SR AND I wasn't taking antifungals, AND I was dipping my whole toe in the vineger, thinking, erroneously, more just must be better! Wrong!
Now I've realized the vinegar I've been buying at a 99Cents store was stale (when I smelled it, it didn't have that zingy smell to it). I've bought a new bottle -5% vinegar(79 cents), and Brainsync cd for SR(about $14.0O and worth every penny) and I am putting only a couple of drops of vinegar at the base of each nail. Get a portable tape or cd player with batteries and take it with you if you need to.
Interesting thing about the SR. I now consider each session, two a day, as a 'dose'. That way, I've elevated it in importance to the antifungals I'm taking.
Does everyone who has toenail fungus need to treat it internally with antifungals? That I don't know. I just know that I have tested positive for having it in my system, and think the toenails are yet another manifestation of the fungus inside my body.
Hope this helps. I understand your frustration, but, look at it this way, if you stop treatment, where will you be in six months, but six months older with toenail fungus. If you perservere, you'll be six months older without toenail fungus. I know. I look at the shoes in catalogues and keep telling myself I can do it. So can you!

Have you tried Penlac. It is external treatment. It is helping me. I have had the problem for years, I know how you feel. I used sporanox and it cured it, when it started to come back I used Penlac, and it's stopping it from spreading.

Hi Lisa,
Do you have to have a prescription for penlac?

Hi Trish,
What kinds of anti-fungals are you taking internally? Are they over-the-counter? I just ordered a brainscan cd a couple days ago so hopefully I can get the hang of SR the way it's supposed to be done. I definetely don't plan on stopping treatment. It just blows my mind that I started the vinegar back in August thinking that by next summer I would be free of the fungus. Now here it is 7 months later and almost summer and I'm still struggling with it. Looks like it's going to be another miserable one.
Take care

I cured a long standing case of athelete's foot with one
application of cayenne pepper and salt water. If I had
nail fungus I would be trying it on that. My experience
with other things I used it on was that it works the best
when I keep the area wet with the solution so I soak the
gause on a bandaid with it. If I used it on nails I would
have to decide wether to keep it wet or let it dry out.

Could it be that whatever is causing this could be coming from inside your body? Do you have any other ailments that could cause it? How is your B-12 level? DO you eat a lot of sugar?
Just a thought.....

Hi, Depressed.
Do you routinely have cold hands and feet? Do you have sweaty hands and feet? Have you read the chapter in my book about susceptibility factors for foot fungus?
I see no reason not to use Tea Tree Oil, with or without the vinegar, although I have no experience using it.

Hi Dr. Stoll,
Yes I do have cold feet alot and they sweat, too. This is the problem that the SR should fix, correct? I have read the chapter in your book on the susceptibility to foot fungus. I guess SR is really the only other thing I haven't tried yet to reduce my susceptibility factors. Do you think there are any other factors I'm missing besides the ones i mentioned in my original post? Do you think that buying all new shoes and sneakers would help, too.
Thanks,
deppressed

Hi Donna,
I guess it's possible it could be coming from inside my body but how can I find out for sure. I don't know how my b-12 level is. I feel good overall though. I don't eat much sugar and sweets and I am a vegetarian. I try to eat as much whole foods as possible. I am just at my wits end with this.

Right now I'm rotating SF722, Candibactin AR, Candibactin BR, DC3, and Garlic. The real expert is our larger than life Helping You on the board. I say this, because HY is helping me get rid of this stuff in my system. I would recommend you read the archives about Leaky Gut Syndrome (that's what I have), and see if you have any symptoms. Then apply that knowledge to your situation, and then take it from there, posting questions, etc.
Hope this helps!

Yes, It is a nail laquer. It looks just like clear nail polish. My GP perscribed it for me. I think it's worth a try, at least it is only external.
Good luck!

Yup, Depressed!
You are a classical example of the adage: With a holistic approach, nearly always the most needed thing is the last thing the individual wants to do.
Let us know how you do.
By the way, burning your shoes will not help much UNTIL you have solved the cold, sweaty hands and feet problem.

I'm still on the anti fungals, and I've just improved my toenail procedure :-) By that I mean, I've just made these changes (new vinegar, SR, etc) a little over a week ago. As far as the SR (Skilled Relaxation) I'm finding I already feel a difference. I don't wake up mornings with my teeth clenched, for example. Also, in about a week, I'm going to begin having my silver fillings replaced. I think the mercury in them is also having a negative effect on my immune system. Did you know about 70% of your immune system is made up of your gut (intestines)? There is so much to learn on the pathway to wellness. It really is a journey, but a worthwile one! :-)
You can do it.

Hi Trish,
I will be starting SR as soon as i get my brainscan cd in the mail. I really hope that doing SR correctly will be one major improvement that will bring good results to tackling this fungus. SR is the last susceptibility reducing factor that I haven't tried yet. Thanks for all the useful info and encouragement you have given me.

Please keep us posted as to how you're doing. I know there's folks on this board who have a lot of experience with SR. In other words, there are a lot of GREAT brains to pick :-). One thing I've learned recently from reading posts about SR is, it takes about six months to start seeing major differences, but I do believe you can start seeing a difference much sooner. Remember to give it time, because you're worth it! :-)
I doubted the effects, too. I resisted the concept, but now I'm sold on it, LOL!
You can do it-
Trish

I had contacted you last year about Toenail fungus and thank to the vinegar tip you gave, it is all gone.
Thank you so much!
