First off-I have suffered from candida on and off for 5+ years.
I have been with my boyfriend for 10 years.
He is 29 yrs old and a healthy guy--very physically active, eats good (no sugar, no fast food etc..) and has moderate stress from work.
About 6 months ago he developed splotchy red cheeks (no raised bumps) and it has not gone away.
The redness gets worse if he is stressed, drinking, or in the sun.
He has very fair skin and his father has slight alopecia.
Is it hereditary OR
Did I give him candida--we always use a condom for regular sex and we have oral sex occasionaly like 3-4 times a year (i am not a fan!)
The last note is that he drinks a lot at least 6-8 beers a day--could that be the cause of LGS.
He's only tken antibiotics like 2 times in his life.
please comment

Hi cm. With that many beers a day, I can assure you he could be causing his own candida and LGS.

Yup I'm with Naya-i would have said the same thing;Don't blame yourself for setting off the Candida, although it can pass back and fourth some. It sounds like it is time for your boyfriend to start taking care of his body, his body will keep giving him messages if he doesn't;

you didn't mention if you have an active yeast infection. Yes, the alcohol can cause bumps on his face. Has he been seen by a doctor for possible rosacea or dermatitis?

Hi, CM.
If I were him, the very first thing I would do is totally eliminate the alcohol and hope it is not too late. These are all warnings that his system is no longer going to tolerate alcohol.
Good luck! Perhaps, he will be like most people and ignore this until he has a LOT more trouble.
Let us know how his health changes if he can bring himself to DO this.
