My body doesn't do anything normal!....odd allergies

I have been diagnosed with Lichen Planus and lots of allergies. The doctor says I am having an autoimmune reaction. I have been having anaphalexic shock (even with eating only the non-allergies). I am allergic to fruits, grains, and vegetables (except blueberries), and all the protiens that most people are allergic to, are the only things I can eat; fish, beef, chicken, milk, eggs..... This all started to be a problem after a parasite cleanse, metal cleanse, healthy raw foods, and 100+ mosquito bites in one night that didn't go away. I just feel drunk, lethargic, tired, and lots of pain.

I'm not sure where to go/what to try.
Could I have leaky gut without being allergic to main proteins?
Will a blood allergy test distinguish between an intolerance and an allergy? Could they be inaccurate?
Can non-food allergies cause anaphalexic reaction?
My job is in the oilfield.... can a Chemical/underground toxin cause an allergic reaction?

I'm tired of eating animal fat. I would give my right arm for a deep breath, a clear thought, a good painkiller, and a bran muffin.

I sure do appreciate any thoughts and suggestions.

Andrea,

First you have to change your focus from treating "effects" to understanding and changing "causes". What do you understand about LGS (leaky gut syndrome)? See the home page and the archives. Go to the glossary for any unfamiliar terms.

To start, you would be wise to learn about the 3LS (three legged stool) and why. The cookbook for THAT is our new step by step "why" and "how to" book "Recapture Your Health" that I coauthored with Jan DeCourtney, C.M.T.

Let us know what you learn and any questions you may have.

Your alternative is to progress as you have been. Look back at your history and see how you have worsened over the years. There is more to come--believe it or not.

Walt

Hi Andrea,

Beth Loiselle's book, "The Healing Power of Whole Foods," has what is called the "safe diet." This means eating foods that are not normally eaten.

I followed that approach at a time when I was reacting to almost everything I ate. It helped get me through it to a place where I could eat enough things.

Have you tried doing any detoxing? I found that doing juice fasts was very helpful in having fewer food reactions.

About your job, my suggestion is to take the longest vacation you can get, or a leave of absence, and see if you feel better. Then you will know if it is the chemicals.

About testing for allergies, I've heard allergy testing is expensive and not very accurate. If you want to see someone, you might look for a clinical ecologist. But an elimination diet, whereby you stop eating a suspected food for 4 - 7 days, then eat it to see if you react, usually tells you more.

The more stressors your body has, the quicker you might have an allergic reaction. I strongly recommend you get a copy of our book, "Recapture Your Health," from our website or your local library, to understand the mechanisms by which health occurs... and is lost.

Best wishes,
Jan

Hi Andrea,

An auto-immune response can be a reaction to an infection that has not been found and not treated with an antibiotic..

Just because a lab cuture does not detect a pathogen does not mean that there is not one to treat.
Intracellular bacteria often fool the immune system into attacking body tissue which looks genetically similar..

Have you had any abnormal blood tests for Sed Rate, C Reactive Protein, White Blood Cell Count, Antinuclear Antibody or Rheumatoid Factor?
If so, your immune system is fighting something.

Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma and Chlamydia are intracellular bacteria.. Lyme Disease is another hard to detect bacteria. All those mosquito bites may have
masked another bite from a Deer Tick..

Get tested for Lyme Disease and don't accept a negative test as a blessimg. You may still need antibiotics for many months to clear this up.
