speaking of anal problems....

Posted by Laura Lee on March 15, 2002 at 03:02:03:

this must be the week for anal/rectal problems. add another to the list. for a couple months i have experienced itching around the anus AND away from it like going up the crack. (forgive me). i examined the anus tonight and felt a tiny (smaller than a pea) bump above the anus. the skin above it is very red and raw, from me scratching im sure. i find it odd that the itch goes beyond the anus too. what could this be caused from dr stoll? i do have hard stool with bm sometimes soft, but not too often.

You know what it sounds like?

Ms. Lee,

You've proven beyond a doubt that ANYTHING can be discussed here with recrimination
or gutter humor.

OK, on-topic: it sounds like parasites, especially if you have been under a
detox regime. The bump and the itch extending upward are one of the consistent
symptoms I've read about. It may well be something else however.

This is one of the many times I have wished for a user manual for this body of mine...

Gregory

How so? Care to explain more?

Not necessarily pinworm

The bump, I was told (by a wholistic healer) is the "infection" site and
is extremely close to the anus. This area tends to be quite moist, even if dried
carefully as sweat naturally congregates there. Not all parasites are pinworms
however, which may account for a misdiagnosis. The bump is also quite itchy, and
it scratched, will probably break open and start another round of infection.
She (the healer) never told me what particular parasite it was, as the question
had been academic and general rather than a request for specific information.

Not a Dr. but it sure sounds like a classic case of hemmorhoids(sp?)

adding more fiber to your diet will help smooth out BM's so that you don't strain or add undo stress on your colon while going.

Hi, Laura Lee.

MY bet is that this small thrombosed hemorrhiod has broken the wonderful seal the anus is for waste material. I have heard the anal sphincter described as the smartest muscle in the body: There else could a muscle decide whether to let solid, liquid or gas pass any squeezing?

When that little "bump" gets in the way of the perfect seal, liquid, acid, waste leaks a little. Inside the sphincter the tissue is totally resistant to this corrosive stuff but just outside the seal it is not. The further one gets from the anal verge the less resistant the tissue is to this stuff.

If you just took your finger and touched the area a few times a day, and then touched the same spot on your arm (for example), within a day you would begin to see redness and within a week you would have a bad rash.

If this is ALL that is wrong, hydrocortisone cream 1% (otc), applied several times a day, would give you quick (in a few days) relief. DO NOT USE ANALGESIC OR ANTI-ITCH CREAMS EVEN THOUGH THEY WILL GIVE INSTANT HELP since they will make this last a lot longer in the long run.

You may have to have the small knot surgically removed to resolve this permanently but that will be useless unless you eliminate the cause of your hemorrhoid (see the hemorrhoid archives) first.

There are other causes but I think this is your best bet.

Let us know how you do.

Could you please indicate the lines and verses dealing with anal infections and hemmorhoids? This isn't a case of sodomy, if that's what you're thinking. Get real!

Shane,

It would be far easier to use the bible if it hadn't been edited so extensively.
The editing was so that the original passages, that dealt with psychic and spiritual
growth and education would not be available to "the masses."

Did you not ever wonder why most of Jesus' life is missing from this tome?

He's born, disappears for over 30 years, and then reappears, working miracles
left and right. But where did he learn those skills? What was he doing for all that
time?

And here is one that stumps clergy and layperson alike. (and yes, before you ask
I do indeed know the answer to this._

OK: In the beginning there is Adam & Eve. Just them and the animals. In time, they
do the begatting thing.

We now have Adam, Eve, & their 2 sons Cain & Abel. There are now 4 people on the earth.

Later, the bible says they "took wives."

Where did those wives come from?

Since no one can answer this question satisfactorily all events thereafter
have to be called into question. Please, no cop-outs about metaphors or allegorical tales.

But lest you think I am a heretic or an atheist, I should like to point out that
I have studied the bible (many "editions") plus The Lost Books Of The Bible.

This requires some flexibility of mind, which most reject out of hand, which is
why most religious "discussions" should be avoided at all costs, which I have failed
to do here. Nevertheless, there is always the possibility that one or more people
will be open to the possibility that there is more to be learned on the subject
then "blind faith" allows.

Instead of taking this to the level of flame, is you wish to discuss or debate,
my email address is included. I will also give the explanation to
Cain & Abel "taking wives." Be advised that "true believers" will not be happy
with the answer.

AGIMW,
Gregory

Thanks, Gregory.

The translations of the Dead Sea Scrolls by Edmond Szekely are very inexpensive and wonderful sources of what has been cut out of the Bible--especially regarding health!

Hi, kmd.

There are literally dozens of monographs, each one with about 60 pages and each on a specific subject. That is why I suggested the publisher---to get a list and the costs for each: average about $2-3 20 years ago.

Hope this helps.

This seem to be making the rounds (I got it from Jill Matrix) but the slightly awkward images of Jesus are just too good to ignore. Looking through them, I can't decide if Jesus looks more like a pushy neighbor, a stalker, or a creepy uncle. Either way, if I were any of those people I wouldn't feel comfortable with that chubby, bearded hippie (at least he looks slightly more more Israeli than the classic Aryan Jesus) hanging around so closely.
