Hi, Laurie.
This is like asking me about a pail that is half full.
One CANNOT have "low blood volume" unless they are actively bleeding out. This means massive blood loss of an acute nature. I'm talking about trauma & blood loss over a few minutes or hours. Surely you would not be asking me about that.
Even with that, the body would do its best to replace the blood volume with serum to prevent that person going into shock.
To have chronic "low blood volume" your body would have to be REALLY messed up. The most likely mechanism would be that your "pail" had gotten larger. That means that your bodymind had lost the ability to control your vascular volume and your mormal blood amount was in too big of a pail.
The only thing that could cause THIS is the chronic fight or flight from the hypothalamus wherein this is controlled. This is discussed almost daily on this BB and has been for the past number of years.
If THIS is going on, you really need to read Dr Pelletier's classic "Mind as Healer. Mind as Slayer" (most recent edition).
To go beyond this information, I would have to know a LOT more about you and your condition (see the Health Coaching Service protocol for what you would need to put on the BB).
Walt

Hi, Laurie.
Dr Pelletier's book is available in any bookstore or library. Also, amazon.com has copies.
The tests for "low blood volume" are those that are employed when some one comes to the emergency room following massive blood loss. Any others are "gobbledegook" from the docs to get you to stop asking questions about your symptoms (in my opinion).
