My 2 year old daughter is losing her finger and toe nails? Fungus is being ruled out and we have no other ideas as to the cause of this problems. Doctors I have spoken to have never seen this in a child of her age. Do you know the cause or a potential treatment?

You are going to the wrong kind of "doctor". You need to find a good Naturopath in your area---the most common cause is a low intracellular zinc.
Send $5 to the AANP (American Association of Naturopathic Physicians) at 2366 Eastlake Avenue East #322, Seattle, WA 98102. They will send you a listing of the good Naturopaths in your area along with basic information about Naturopathy.
As her nails come back, I hope you will share her progress with the rest of us. This is an increasingly common problem and happens to be the major cause of Anorexia Nervosa as well (mostly teenage years).
