Dr. Campbell's Arthritis Book

Posted by Frank on June 02, 2002 at 14:44:29:

Passing on something I found a while ago, is a book by Dr Giraud Campbell call "A Doctor's Proven New Home Cure for Arthritis" He is a D.O. that wrote a book a long time ago about how he has cured people of arthritis of many types by simply the following: one day fasting, 7 days raw foods alone, then you begin to add back some cooked foods. But you forever avoid all flour coffee, alcohol, and processed and canned foods, all sweets. The best thing is that he presents several x ray plates of before and after shots of joint showing significant and almost complete joint healing with this approach. Dr Stoll have you ever seen this book?

Thanks, Frank.

Yes, I have read it. I would be interested in hearing from every person who does this. In MY experience nearly all people will get results in the short term, a few weeks to a few months, and then the problem comes back.

All this does is prove the relationship between all forms of arthritis and the diet--something the American Arthritis Association has spent the past 100 years pooh-poohing. Only recently have they begun to admit the relationship.

This is one of the reasons I stopped donating to their cause 20+ years ago.

Doc I have this book too. The approach seems simple and direct, but seems to skip over mentioning anything about LGS, etc., but perhaps when it was first written over 30 years ago that part of the puzzle was unknown, I don't know. The food allergy component is not discussed, nor are the complication from things like candida infection.

I have wondered if you took Dr Campbell's approach as to diet (which seems nothing more than a whole foods approach), and added essential oils, glucosamine, and SR twice daily, whether you might have a good basic approach to combat arthritis, at least where other issues like candida infection have not yet run rampant.

The reason this approach works, is because the digestive system gets to heal on this diet. The large amount of enzymes in the diet helps to not only digest the food taken in but allows the body to start disolving calcium deposits, uric acid crystals, and the body goes into a rebuilding mode. I believe the results can be maintained if one continues to exist on a diet of at least 75% raw foods. These can be in the form of raw fruits, raw vegetbales, raw oils, raw dairy, raw vegetable juices, raw condiments, raw nuts, raw sprouts (not alfalf) even raw meats if they are organic/grass-fed and frozen for 14 days prior to eating them. then, the meat can be marinated in a raw home-made marinade and consumed raw. The cooked foods portion can be soups, sprouted grains, some cooked vegetables, legumes, some cooked meats and fish. Then, the matter still exists of identifying foods that just aren't toleratble to the individual. Do that and most of the arthritis will stay at bay. Include SR, daily exercise, and glucosmine/chondroitin in the form of home-made gelatin stocks made with bones/cartilage and I believe that most people will live virtually arthritis-free.

I have used a similar diet from hacres.com.
The Doctor there had cancer and his wife had RA and now have neither for years.

It works for me and I feel great.

I first began this diet 3 years ago and apploed it tolosing weight and I lost 100 pounds. I was wearing a size 28 and now I wear a 12.

I applied it to RA and last week the doctor was completely amazed at my improved conditon.

(For Me)--I love juicing and eating organic and good clean water.I was listening to other's ideas of what worked for them but they suggested I eat dairy and meat and that is just poison to my system.

I am making the freshest green salads and eating juicy fruits and taking BarleyGreen, which cured every other problem I had.

I guess I have been doing this 4 years but like I said applied it to arthritis and I have no swelling, my skin tone is terrific and I have no health problems and just had a through physical and came out with flying colors.

In addition, when I cheat and have something with white flour, sugar, regular salt or any processed food...I feel sick. So this way I have no side effects ever and am determined to get victory over RA.

I don't know where I am getting the strength and courage to do this but it is worth it.

I am a teacher and an artist and have a desire to do pen and ink watercolors for others with arthritis.

Thanks for reading this. I am just one person but keeping serious about my body and health is paying off.

Thanks, Tom F.

I think the more we learn the more things we will find to combine for better results.

LGS was unknown 30 years ago as was candida.

Hi, Frank.

ALL chronic conditions are multifactorial in causation. The more serious the cause that is not addressed is the sooner any program will stop working.

Go to your lending library and have them find you a copy of my book.

thanks to you too Dr. Stoll:
I am trying to do what is best and sometimes it is hard to stay focused. I have never had a greater challenge. But I will not quit.

I am adressing candida and leaky gut and doing the cleansing and flora source and chinese bitters along with other supplements.

I wanted to add that when my regular daily routine for years was to walk 7 miles a day along a beautiful lake and stop at a fresh fruit and vegetable stand to get everything I needed. There was a Dunkin Donuts nearby where lots of very funny people stopped each day and for years I would go in there and never have one donut.

I was always a size 7 and perfect health.

When I got married to my husband he is the opposite and we met and married in Florida where they have these huge breakfasts and I started going with him and thought my good habits would stay strong and influence him.

I am disapponted to sayhe influenced me and I just have a hard time with all the food in the American diet. Now it makes me sick, very fast.

I have my juicer and blender and good water and organic things and wonderful friends who own a health food store. So I go there and stock up and it just feels good.

Out grandaughter was here last weekend and I gave her a cold bowl of watermelon. She is almost 4.
She said "Oh Nana this makes me feel soooo good inside, I have to get my Mommy to buy me a watermelon."

I read the accounts of people with RA and the surgeries they have and the long list of medications.
They are so miserable and will not listen to anyone
like me tell them there is another way.

And I am not saying it is easy but, there is a tremendous satisfaction in knowing that what I put in my mouth will not give me any side effects..only good.

Thanks to you too Dr. Stoll for your courage and determination to swim up stream.

HYI agree 100%
It works perfectly for me plus it improved my eyesight, eliminated sinus problem, constipation,
heart palpatation and I lose so much weight this way and I noticed the other day that all the people coming out of the health food store are so slim.

You are a brainy guy...thanks

If eating certain foods makes you feel SO good then why do
you eat the things that Don't ? Sounds like you are easily
influenced to eat thing that you know aren't good for you.
Maybe you would Like to eat the things that Others do and
don't have a problem with but it sounds like you Know
better and are fighting it. Guess you will have to learn
what you can and can't eat. Some people can eat anything and
others can't. Accept it.

you are right I was influenced by others and what they ate but that was a long long time ago.

you are right that I do eat things that make me feel so good and am learning more every day...what those things are and need to know and learn more recipesfor organic.

I keep a journal now and write down everything I put
into my mouth and that helps a lot.

Thanks, I am still learning. There is an enormous health food store here on a mountain top and every time we go there to shop I try to try something new.

For example, we got trail mix and some granola and Ezeckial bread and it was delicious. I also bought a new cook book for organic and it is so thick.

Thanks

Thanks, Lovebird!

Back to basics, huh!

Your story reminds me of the Star Trek episode "Mirror Mirror". One of the last lines in that episode was (in explanation of why the regular crew did so much better in the mirror universe than their counterparts did in our universe): "It was so much easier for us, as civilized men, to act like barbarians, than it was for those barbarians to act like civilized men."
