Heartbroken with RA

Posted by Lovebird on August 29, 2003 at 01:07:13:

I need some kindness and compassion now , not a lecture please because I just cannot understand why RA is so painful and on-going after so much hard work and discipline.

By the way the anemia I mentioned I have had off and on all my life and recently I tried a RA med and wound up in the hopital.

Thankfully all the weight loss and proper diet resulted in every test being perfect every time. I have no food allergies, my weight is ideal and so is my diet. I have studied and learned and tried so many things and still can hardly move because of of pain.

Today I went swimming at a gorgeous pool and felt and looked great..but it only last a little while.

I feel like a guinea pig and am scared to try another med from the rd because it cost a fortune and I wound up with horrible side effects.Every member of the team that consulted to my doctor said they have never seen a rare case of RA and it is so true. Women in their 80's move better than I do.

I have cleansed and eaten raw and on and on for years spending thousands.

But how long can you take it.

the cleansing helped give me a perfect colon and years of discipline helped but I am just weary.

Does anyone understand how hard this gets? I want to stay postive and upbeat and I do have so many brilliant doctors who care and are a lose of why this case is so rare.

My Dad died from RA and its mess.

How do I keep control and stay focused when I feel like I am getting hit over and over by a tidal wave?

Lovebird,
Did you try
1) Robert McFerran's diet protocol
2) Dr Stoll's Skilled Relaxation
3) A little exercise(if you are capable of walking a bit)

I was hit with RA this May and endured severe joint pains for 3 months before flying back to my home country India and currently undergoing Ayurvedic treatment. I can say that my joint pains have reduced by more than 80% and I'm working on the other 20%. I think SR helped me a lot.

Also, did you try the antibiotic protocols for RA? Seems to me yours is a case of bacterial triggered RA because all the blood reports are normal (RF, ESR, ANA).
Just because your dad had RA doesn't mean you should have it.

Did you follow Robert's metabolic diet? It seems like you already have. I might also suggest something else. Get a leaky gut test done from Great Smoky Labs. That'll tell you if leaky gut is causing these symptoms or bacteria hiding somewhere in your body.

I understand why somedays you just want to give up but DON"T let RA win!!! You can do this and overcome this disabling disease. I don't have RA but I'm struggling with other issues and I know that negative thoughts can really wreak havoc in the body. Pay attention to your thought pattern and when you feel your self frustrated or feeling defeated, repeat a phrase that is good for you such as "I'm am so strong". You will get through this and come out on the other side with determination and perserverance.

Good luck and my prayers are also with you!

Lovebird, Have you ever tried a product called Wobenzyme? You might do a search on Google for it. If you decide to try it, check several websites because some are quite a bit cheaper then others. Also, have you ever been tested for Leaky Gut?

Thank you all for such support.

In reactions to meds low iron was an issue and most recently a high temp. They thought I had an infection. With both reactions I was neither bleeding or did I have an infection.

Yes I did all the Leaky Gut, allegy testing along with cleansing, losing weight. So when I was tested for heart stress and gastro stuff and colon, everything was clean.

I am an art teacher and love beauty and beautiful music.

I have massages regularly and swim and am doing so may new things.

I am just not used to an limitations in life ad it is tough daily.

How do ou all stay focused and what things do you do to unwind.

Thank you for being so kind to me.

Kindness is so rare isn't it?

Dr. Stoll we are all behind you and love you dearly.

Thanks for praying

Today was typical for a day off of work for my husband.

Another point I need help with: we picked up meds when he hadn't even cashed his pay check. Yesterday he ppicked up 2 that were presribed that cost sooo much money that after talking to the pharmacist I found out that I could have done without.

I talked to the pharmacist and found out that I truly need to list how much this is all costing.

Alternative stuff as well is outrageous.

Right?

It cost soooooooo much money.

Co-pay etc on and on.
There is so much to learn and stay in control of.

I intend to keep a notebook so I know where every penny is going.

Do any of you experience this?

Look into MSM. James Coburn raved about it for his RA and
it is Cheap. If you try it you may have to try different
brands. Everyone I have does something different for me. No
RA here but they cured sinus, knee, and muscle problems and
I didn't need much.

Hi, Lovebird.

I am surprised that you said nothing about SR even though it is the single most important thing for what you have. Besides, it costs nothing except discipline on your part. Listen to Want--.

By the way, your statement about not being allergic to any foods tells me that you have not studied what is meant by hypersensitivities--which nearly always have something to do with this (LGS and bracing). MY hypersensitivity to dairy and wheat only shows itself by increasing my insulin requirements by 100 units a day. Your RA COULD be the only way this would show itself.

Walt

I have been listening to some classical CDS and can get pretty relaxed. Do you know the names of tapes or CDS ideal for SR?

You are right, I haven't achieved deep relaxtion.

The guy I went to to be tested for allergies and candida and all turned out to be a real nut. I have the results of most of it but truly don't knowhow to read it all.

The guy really scared me he went off the deep end.

Basically Walt I have been a very active jock all my life.

To lose weight and change lifestyle I began to write down what I ate each day and then began fasting, eliminating, juicing. Massive bowel movements started coming out and I lost 100 lbs. I am 58" and 155 now but this is 5 years ago.
I walked 3 to 5 miles a day, roller bladed.

I was told I had RA at an annual physcial in 1999.It was found in blood tests and x-rays.

I saw a rhematologist and have had no on-going med that works.

I guess I need to start all over. We live in the country and friends own a health food store and I bought thousands of dollars worth of supplements, plus juicing, water, raw..on and on. But the pain and damage is horrible.

Now with test taken I come out shining like a star because of this effort. Colon, heart stress test etc.

I sm eating better now and think I was starving for good food..

To be honest I need help..I guess we all do.

That is why what you do is so vital. Don't ever forget that.
We need you and love you.

Thanks, Lovebird.

At 58 inches and 155 pounds you are till more than 50 pounds overweight for what you have.

There is no doubt that serious SR is the first thing for you to accomplish. See the SR FAQ article on the home page.

Once that is done, let us know how you are doing and the next step can be described.

Walt
