RA question for Dr. Stoll

Posted by lovebird [15.15] on July 15, 2004 at 11:42:25:

Hi Dr. Stoll:
This morning an alternative DO on TV was soooooooo negative about RA. He made RA sound like it could kill a person. He gave a list of supplements and all to take but basically the outcome sounded grim.

This has been my challenge all along..to NOT listen to begative but do all the positive things I can.

What is the truth?

Thanks for being a friend.
love,
lovebird

Thanks, Lovebird.

Listen to Steve. RA is a very serious diagnosis but without the basic understanding of causation, all conventional treatment does is give (sometimes) temporary assistance with symptoms.

Learn about and deal with the known causes. People with RA are like alcoholics in that they are never cured but carry that tendency with them to the grave. In other words, an alcoholic can never start drinking again and a RA patient can never stop a serious wellness lifestyle.

I hope this is making sense to you.

Walt

Yes it makes perfect sense.

I notice if I have one teaspoon of ice cream for example my hands are so painful in an instant.

I do listen to Rick and Steve. I am glad you are all here for us.

Love,
lovebird
