I have a broken blood vessel in my eye.
the white of my left eye from the pupil to outside is blood red,, the eyeball is sore to the touch, if I close my eye & touch it.
This happened about 2 weeks ago, took better than a week to clear up,, now this AM I woke up and it has happened again.
What do you think might be my problem?
I take 7 1/2gr. predisone each day (arthritis) also 10iu methotrixate once a week,, I have been on this medication about 3 yrs.
Could this be a factor?
Thank you,,,,John

John,
Your medications ARE the cause of your problem. You have run out the string of symptom supression and NOW, you have no choice but to deal with the causes of your arthritis. See the glossary and archives. Unfortunately, NOW you are going to have to cope with the secondary effects of the medications you have been given AND the causes of your arthritis at the same time.
Remember you are concerned about your eye because it is easy to see. The exact same thing is happening in every organ of your body but you just cannot see it as easily.
Your treatment is killing you! This kind of treatment is NEVER supposed to be used more than a few months. Three YEARS???
Once you have done your homework, if you still have questions, write again.
