This condition responds to antibiotics and warm compresses would be very soothing for him too. Conjunctivitis is usually due to some sort of viral exposure/infection and can affect youngsters as well as adults.

WHAT ABOUT THE BROKEN BLOOD VESSEL IN MY SON'S EYE? I HAD NEVER HEARD OR SEEN THE BROKEN BLOOD VESSEL IN THE EYE. MY FRIEND TOLD ME NORMALLY ONLY ADULT GET IT. WHY A 5 YEARS OLD GOT IT? IS IT A SIGN OF A DISORDER OF THE BLOOD? OR IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH HIS EYE? PLS ADV. THANK YOU.

Can this be caused by the pinkeye or should other causes be sought? Thanks.

MY SON (5AND 1/2 YEARS OLD) WOKE UP ONE MORNING BUT COULDN'T OPEN HIS RIGHT EYE,
IT HAS DRY-UP YELLOWISH PUS ALL OVER HIS EYE. I CLEAN IT UP AND THE EYE WAS RED. CALLED THE DOCTOR, DOCTOR PRESCRIBED ANTI-BIOTIC EYE DROP. BUT, ON THE THIRD DAY, MY SON'S EYE WAS STILL RED. I TOOK HIM TO THE DOCTOR, DOCTOR SAID MY SON
HAS PINKEYE AND ALSO BROKEN BLOOD VESSEL IN THE EYE. I WAS SHOCKED. CAN YOU TELL ME HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? WILL THIS AFFECT HIS VISION? WILL HE GO BLIND? HE IS SO YOUNG, I HEARD OLDER PEOPLE GET THIS. MY SON IS IN PERFECT HEALTH CONDITION.
