Dear Dr Stoll, I was DXedwith MS 7 years ago.i have done all the things that you recommend including getting my fillings out. In the past 7 years, I have only had one symptom of MS(weak legs) I do not know anyone or do I know anyone who knows anyone with only 1 symptom. I am not convinced that I have MS even though I was DXed with an MRI and a spinal tap. I recently began looking into aspartame poisoning. I am 40 years old and began drinking diet Pepsi everyday since I was a young teenager.I stopped drinking soda when I was DXed with MS and now drink only filtered water. For the past 7 years I have been eating sugar-free cookies and have eaten yogurt every single day untill 2 mos ago. I am starting to feel stronger every day since layinng off the nutra-sweet.My question to you is this: How do I know if I suffered from aspartame poisoning? Is there any test that I can take and have you ever heard of anyone with only one symptom of MS? judy

I don't know of tests, but I have read several reports that aspertame poisoning can mimic multiple sclerosis symptoms. Also when they stopped the diet drinks, their symptoms disappeared. God bless.

Hi,
As one who was having brain seizures nightly after chewing TRIDENT sugar-free (aspartame-containing) gum, I can
say Yes, you likely have been suffering from aspartame-poisoning. Congratulations on discovering that aspartame in your daily diet has been undermining your health, and congratulations on having the strength and courage and wisdom to change your dietary habits, and rid your body of the noxious aspartame... However, you really
need to start READING LABELS carefully, because more and more foods are containing toxic additives like aspartame.
Just my two cents. PS Just for the record: There are a LOT of food additives equally toxic, that cause similar reactions, such as CARRAGEENAN, GELATIN, HYDROLYZED VEGETABLE PROTEIN, etc. Do a search on the internet and learn

Hi, Jan.
You know that, at autopsy, it is routinely found that 90% of MS diagnoses were not actually MS but "MS like conditions". These conditions are now known to be caused by many kinds of environmental chemicals, and their combination, in genetically susceptible people. SO, do not stop looking and learning with the aspartame--which is known to be a neurotoxic substance.
What have you learned from the archives about aspartame and about MS?
I know of no test other than using your bodymind laboratory as you have been: if you get better without it it had SOMETHING to do with your condition!
Let us know what you learn and how you do.
Namaste`
Walt
On another, related topic:
I read the following post in the Archives on this website:
and have to say that I was astonished by the responses
given to Trey K about her questions regarding the
irregular heartbeat she experienced, shortly after dining at MacDonald's and eating chicken mcnuggets and diet colas and other yukky fastfoods.
I was amazed that neither Dr. Stoll nor anyone else mentioned in their followups that ALMOST WITHOUT A DOUBT THE *REAL* CAUSE OF TREY'S IRREGULAR HEARTBEAT SHORTLY AFTER EATING THOSE JUNK FOODS WAS *ASPARTAME* IN THE DIET DRINK AND
*MSG* IN THE CHICKEN SHE ATE.
Instead of focusing on the IMMEDIATE and (at least to me, OBVIOUS) CAUSE of her irregular heartbeat and
suggesting that Trey AVOID these heartbeat-confusing foods, a discussion ensued about Magnesium and possible heart-therapies. While it is true that magnesium and calcium levels get upset by ingesting phosphates (colas),
I would be willing to BET MONEY that the real cause of
Trey's irregular heartbeat is/was the FAST FOOD ADDITIVES, and if Trey continues such a diet, no amount of
magnesium or heart-therapy will get the heartbeat and other health problems cleared up.
Thanks for listening and please AVOID MSG AND ASPARTAME, if you want to be healthy!
:-)
which food additives cause MSG-like-reactions, including messing up the hearbeat! Good luck.
