Hi Harpe,

You could have looked this up yourself...
That is why search engines were developed.

I heard that 2-3/week was enough.

I heard that larger dose (1000mg) of vitiamin E is supposed to do the same but I am not sure if it's true.

Hi Ron,

People post to the BB because the information thrown up by search engines is indeed 'thrown up'. It's largely commercial crap. We should be encouraging BBers to make the BB a FIRST port of call. And why not call on people like you who obviously spend a lot of time garnering and filtering information? Makes sense to me!!! What did you make of information in those the sites you brought up through Yahoo?

Harpe,

Yes aspirin does thin the blood, because it has a trace of magnesium in it, however the down side to long term use of aspirin ( internal bleeding, ulcers and stroke )are not worth any benifit..Co-Q-10, fish oil, water and vitamin C are much better choices..So unless you have heart disease I would stay away from aspirin..

Hi Jane,

I posted the link that I looked at.
If I was not being nice, I would have merely written the words that I searched for.

I did not comment on the efficacy of aspirin because I have
no authority to do so and have no personal experience
with aspirin for this purpose.
I was also not intending to write all the possibilities
in my own words at 3:00am.
It is sad that testimonials are more appreciated than
the information on corporate websites.
Let the reader decide if this answers their question
or if they want more reassurance from others before embarking on a debatable therapy.
I would do as much.

I tried vitiamin E about 3 or 4 times and it caused my hands to go to sleep and I just take the regular amount that you are suppose to take. I eat a healtfly diet so believe I get plenty of the E, so decided I was getting too much by taking exra in another sulppment.

Connie,

Vitiamin E is stored..What the body does use it will not flush it out like vitiamin C..So you can take too much E and it will have a toxic effect..Depending on which E you are taking, d-alpha, 6 IU, EPA, 200mg, and DHA, 300mg..Also if you are getting your E from fish oil, make sure it's mercury free..

I did look at the aspirin use at "search results" but i was asking only for opinions of what others think of aspirin as blood thinners.

I still love ya and God does too. And Jane was truthful in what she said.

Thanks ron.

Yes it does, Harpe.

Remember, though, the correct dose is one baby aspirin a day OR one adult aspirin twice a week.
