Having tested negative for Celiac, yet convinced my hyperactive child reacts to Gluten, i had his urine checked for peptides. I have had the report back to me today, makes not a lot of sense! But says Presence of trans-indolyl-3-acryloylgylcine (IAG) - YES. Retention time of IAG - graph a - 20.521 mins & graph b - 20.720 mins. Ratio between elution times +0.199 mins.
Then underneath it says, IAG is the biggest peak in the biologically active area (18-30mins).
OK, i know this is asking a lot! But do you understand that? Or shall i just take him off gluten!
This is Autistic research at the University of Sunderland in U.K, but they will check urine of hyperactive children too. Do you believe or understand this Dr Stoll.

Hi Cheryl,
I cannot think of any possible harm of just taking your child off gluten for a while to see if it makes a difference. I personally do not put much stock in tests (I tested negative for hypoglycemia, but I've had a problem with it all my life!!!).
The proof is in, does it make a difference?
Have you tried taking your child off dairy foods also? They might also have a big effect.
Best wishes,
Happygal

Hi, Cheryl.
10 years from now these tests will be obsolete. I cannot keep up with them as they come and go so fast.
Listen to Happygal.
