first i want to thank you so much for your website it has been very helpful....after going thru all of the info on the bakers cyst on your site, i took my mom to an orthopedic dr. and he seemed to explain everthing like you said. we felt very confident with him. what he suggested was to aspirate as much of the fluid as possible and then inject a steroid (celestoine) into the front of the knee to elevate the arthritis which of course caused the excess fluid. (i have already ordered your book on the bracing which i look forward to reading. hopefully that will also include methods of stress reduction which you have mentioned repeatedly, and i agree, to reduce the arthritis.) he said to come back in a month to see if that will cause the tear to heal itself. if not then we may have to do the surgery...what is your opinion of this advice. i do know you recommend surgery to repair the tear. and our Dr also agreed but felt that this was a first step before doing surgery...I cant thank you enough for all your help. you are a wonderful person who i hope gets all the blessings you deserve.

Thanks, David.
MY definition of an expert is someone who agrees with ME :>)
I think you have found an excellent doc--a jewell among the dross!
Let us know how she does.
