This is my second post and I'm no better. I've changed doctors again and this one ordered an arthrogram of my knee which I was sure would show a Bakers Cyst. It did not. He did notice that the tissue behind my knee looked like it was thickening.
Are there any knee (or blood, nerve, muscle) conditions that mimic the symptoms of a bakers cyst. I can't walk for mor than half a minute without the pain starting. It gets worse as I'm on it longer. It doesn't get to the point of excrutiating, but it is so annoying. No pain at rest. I've looked all over the internet and can't really find anyone that describes my symptoms that does not have a bakers cyst. Please help

Hi Steve,
Have you seen a massage therapist to find out if there are any hypertense muscles causing the problem? We don't diagnose but can tell if the muscles around the knee are in spasm or if connective tissue restrictions might be causing problems.
Another option (you might do both actually) is to see a chiropractor and find out if anything structural is contributing.
Best wishes,

Is this a result of a old injury? Silver Fox!

Hi, Steve.
Listen to Happygal.
Sounds to me like your body is trying to seal the rent in the capsule all by itself. Obviously this happens sometimes or we all would be walking around with a Baker's "cyst" most of the time.
Let us know how you do.
Walt

Steve,
It is a result of a running injury from one and half years ago. Have had several two surgeries and some other treatments, but I'm beginning to think it is more of a muscle/tendon related issue than the standard knee cartilage issues. I just don't really trust any doctors anymore to send me in the right direction.
