bakers cyst

Hi Dr. Walt and all,
Just read a lot on bakers cyst and know I need to change
quite a bit and consider surgery to move on.
I am 47, active, on my feet 3 days a week 12 hours plus
at a time and will miss weight bearing exercises hiking being number one.But I am a mermaid type so the swimming which I did as a kid)sounds doable.I am slightly overweight and worry now that without the hardcore aerobics I will gain
more.I am also an extrememly nervous type and had put yoga
and tai chi on hold in favor of more "sweaty" pursuits.
I do take glucosamine( but not enough)and recently was
put on omega oils for depression.I am a big Vit C believer
thanks to L Pauling but had not considered esterc which I
will now.
I read that orgasms help the pelvic congestion and I am
all for eliminating that but when I orgasm I tense my lower
legs quite a bit and my left knee has the bulge behind it which I am afraid aggravates it more.
Also recently I went to Sri Lanka on a relief mission
and I had significant swelling bilaterally for days there
and on the way home, now after work I have to put my legs
up quite often to decrease swelling and discomfort.I weigh
145 and am 5 foot two.34% fat though according to my scale.
Is caffeine harmful to this condition(As if I didn't know)
HOw about if it in the form of green tea only.
Thank you for any advise.
Jude

Hi, Jude.

Look at my previous note about this today. Aerobic swimming uses more calories than weight bearing exercises.

Hope this helps.

Walt

Thanks Dr Stoll for the info. I started my day with a medit
ation book by Osho, I just picked one at random and it was
on laughter(5 minutes a day right after stretching) and it was
the best start of a day. I followed that with gentle yoga and
cried spontaneously and then swam a mile at the pool.I have never felt calmer and more relaxed.I hardly feel my swelling
behind my knee just know its there now. Also put my legs up a
lot in yoga and in the sauna.
I appreciate your help.
