Hi, Amber.

This is EXTREMELY uncommon in a child of this age. The most comon injury that causes this is the child hanging from his knees from a jungle gym and swinging.

If that cannot be the cause here, I would be careful about this child's genetic susceptibility to arthritis in later life. Awareness at this age would make it easier to prevent this from happening later.

For the cyst to remain there HAS to be a connection to the inside of the joint THROUGH a rip in the capsule.

So what i would like to know now is what is the best thing i can do for my son today and following. Genetically there is MUCH arthritis on my side of the family also auto immune disorders. What does one do to try to prevent( arthritis ) this in my son? Would you be of the opinion it is best to leave this alone? Also should i at least have the knee looked at of x-rayed or something? AGAIN, i thank you in advace for your time.

Hi, Amber.

If this were MY child, I would learn about wellness and bring him up as healthy as you can. In the meantime, you might learn about LGS and modify anything you do with him by assisting his normal colonic ecology.

About the only things you can do right now are give him a perfect diet and meditate with him (See "Meditating with Children" mentioned so many times on this BB). As he gets older you can add things like swimming for exercise (best) or just walking.

By raising him healthy, he will keep some of these habits even when he is an adult. You will see many other benefits as a result of this policy as well.
