Dear Dr.,
I have recently been diagnosed with a ruptured baker's cyst. Although I have read the archives in persuit of answers, one answer seems to allude me. If there is no surgery, is it my understanding that this a reoccurring senario? This will reoccur ? And surgery to remove the sack is the only permenant solution? How about blood clot formation and additional problems?

Hi, David.
Since you have read the archives, you know that the only sure cure, and prevention of new ones, is dealing with the causes of the arthritic condition that causes Baker's. Only repairing the rent in the capsule will resolve the present "cyst" since the fluid in the "cyst" would be reabsorbed IF it were not continually replentished via the rent.
