Most reports on Baker's cyst refers to pain and or swelling of the knee or behind the knee. However my G.P. has diagnosed a Baker's cyst in the middle of my calf. I have no pain or swelling of the knee. As I have read, Baker's cyst is fluid from the knee, is it then possible to have this in the middle of my calf, with no pain or swelling in my knee?
regards
Graham

Yes, Graham, it IS possible--even pretty common.
Once you understand the mechanism of a Baker's you will understand how this may be so.
It would be VERY unusual for the swelling to be ABOVE the knee because of gravity.
