i have bilateral popliteal masses that are both lateral. i am a retired PT having treated patients w hx of medial bakers. can they be lateral and still created by the mechanism that causes those on the medial side.
i have ehler's-danlos syndrome. when i was able to attempt to squat, my femurs seemed to translate forward, crushing painful tissue- perhaps menisci- the pain always resolved readily. does this explain it?
what specialist do i see?
thanks

Hi, Andrea.
Your congenital E-D is likely contributing to this. So far as is yet known. There is nothing you can DO about that. However, all of the other things that cause arthritis and knee problems are things you CAN do something about. Start with the glossary and then go to the archives about bracing, arthritis and perhaps even LGS.
If I were in your shoes, I would see a good Osteopath. To find a good one, I would contact healthcomm.com and get a list of their subscribers (FMU) who have subscribed for at least 2 years.
What do you know about Alexander Technique?
Let us know what you learn and how you do.
