In my second biofeedback session I managed to get the Galvanic skin response to respectable levels, as well as muscle tension and temperature. I had been doing SR diligently the previous week sometimes as much as 4 times a day. On Sunday I was having some vertigo whenever I stood up. Sunday night I ate somewhat of a greasy meal and started having chest pains. I went to sleep with them and woke up with them really bad. So, it was off to the ER for a check (I was mainly concerned because I had vertigo the day before). I tested okay. While hooked up to the heart and resp monitor, I did some SR. I was able to get the heart rate down to 50 and the resp rate down to 2. I am convinced that the problem lies with the digestive system. (I have 2 small polyps in the neck of the gallbladder). The following day I had my second biofeedback session and I did great, according to the machines. I think that I am coming along. I heartily believe that the commitment to SR is causing a shift in my bodymind. My dreams are more vivid and I have been keeping a journal of them. My subconscious is definately trying to tell me something, and I know what it is. I just have to do something about it. I feel that my body and mind are healing, and I just have to act upon what my very being is telling me to do. SR goes far beyond a mere cure for a chronic condition (even though that is wonderful), it also allows one to get closer to the subconscious. So many people (myself included) go through life not knowing who they are and have not the ear to hear what their bodies are telling them. So I guess this is a testimonal of sorts. I still have a long path ahead of me, but then again, life IS the path.
