Well, I received my GSR from Sharper Image. It took me a couple of days to get to use it because I didn't have the proper adapter (it didn't come with one) or 6 C batteries!
I do my SR using Centerpointe's The Dive CD which must be used with headphones. You can adjust the sound and pitch levels if you want to hear the sounds. I kept the volume low and just opened my eyes a few times to see the lights. To be in a proper relaxed state, the lights must be green and not changing. It pretty much confirmed what I suspected. The lights were steady green and the pitch was low, which means that I'm achieving the proper levels.
Just so you know, I have the worst Monkey Mind in the world, which is why I wanted to know if my SR has been effective. I just let my mind wander where it wants. No use fighting it. To me, that would be more stressfull.
So, I'm happy to report that the device has been useful in that regard.
Now, if only I could get myself to do my SR TWICE per day faithfully....sigh!

I got mine today. It seems like a nice toy but it just makes lots of halloween sounding noises before settling in to all green and a low buzz. Maybe I'm really calm but I kind of think everybody gets the same routine. Still, it's a nice toy. But it looks like the price dropped ten bucks and reading that should have made some of the lights go red don't you think?
