The Use of EMG Biofeedback for the Treatment of Facial Pain (TMJ)

OK TMJers. Here's an interesting article (linked below) with a diagram on how to use biofeedack to learn how to relax your jaw muscles. Also some practical suggestions how to do it without any equipment.

Enjoy!

Rona:

Visit the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA) site (linked below). Click on the pinkish "Find A Practitioner" graphic bar. Do a search on the country of your choice from the pull-down list, which includes Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, USA, and United Kingdom. Vouella! I found 28 listed in Canada.

Hope this helps!

OK, here's another source of practitioners (linked below).

Clicking on their worldwide map - Canada - gave me 7 practitioners, most all of which have a web site and/or email address included.

Hope this helps!

In case you clicked on MY picture of their map and wondered what happened (nothing!), it's just a picture. At their web site, the map is clickable and it takes you to that country's lisings.

Thanks, again, RocketHealer Jim.

I am going to have to start calling you "flypaper"! All of this stuff just sticks to you doesn't it (grin)?

Wonderful resources. Perhaps I can get Bill to make links to these. Then I can just refer people to the link page.

Namaste`

Walt
