The protocol (linked below) is for biofeedback training for chronic tension headache. It contains some really good general suggestions for learning SR (such as from using the Relaxation and Stress Reduction Workbook) with or without biofeedback equipment.
Enjoy!

Hi, RHJ.
Remember, these localized conditions are just tips of the iceberg of total-body bracing. IF the person resolves the local condition with these local approaches, the problem will be back in a year or so since the total-body bracing will still be present.
For the best solution, in the long run, the total-body bracing MUST be eliminated. Of course, these tips of the iceberg ARE attached TO the iceberg. SO, they CAN serve as an inroad to the iceberg. It is just coming in the back door---O.K. if it works for the "big picture".
Making sense?

Walt:
You are right in your observations that total body bracing is the big picture.
What I thought was valuable in this specific writeup was the general suggestions in it that I felt would be good for a person learning to do SR.
