Has anyone tried the "Healing Rhythms" home biofeedback system that comes highly recommended by renown doctors Chopra, Weil, and Ornish? What were your results and thoughts on its effectiveness and the cost?
Is there a better choice out there for a biofeedback machine/system?

Some specifics: The Healing Rhythms Biofeedback System is "sophisticated and entertaining, using gorgeious graphics and series of ingenious exercises to monitor exactly how you're doing on slowing/calming the mind for meditation. It's a whole body wellness program that combines biofeedback tech. with breathing exercises designed to relax and restore you." It has a 90-page training manual and over 45 mind/body practices. In summary, it combines biofeedback practices with effective meditation and breathing techniques. Ornish, Chopra and Weil are all pushing this system. (Or, just recommend a great biofeedback machine!)

Thanks, Kay.
Cost again? May be helpful to someone who needs lots of direction.

Thanks, Sounder.
My guess is that about 25% of the cost is earmarked for the recommending docs. This system surely will help some people. However, in my opnion, about 85% of people will achieve the SR skill with the Relaxation Workbook and one biofeedback session to certify effectiveness.

It is made in conjunction with the people who do The Wild Divine program. That one lists for $199 and the Healing Rythms is $295, so depending how you figure it...~50% more.
Still, it would be more fun for a lot of people to play a video game rather than meditate, maybe get them to do it, and immediate feedback could be helpful for some. But, I don't have any experience with it.
