Digging thru the mail I got over Christmas, I ran into a JDR Microdevices catalog I requested earlier. In it I found some electronic kits, including a Lie Detector kit EK-LD1 $11.99, no 9 volt battery or case included, but it does have a speaker. They say, "When a person is under stress (maybe lying), their skin resistance will decrease. This will cause the tone generated to increase. To use the lie detector, a person must place a finger from each hand on the detector pads." This has both adjustable pitch and sensitivity (the Radio Shack Blue Box unit only had adjustable pitch-and it is not longer available, as far as I know.
Walt may very well say this unit is not sensitive enough. But I'm sharing info on it since there has been interest shown here in building one's own GSR unit.
To see the info about this kit at the http://www.jdr.com site, just type ek-ld1 into their search box and press Search. There is a picture of the components, so you can get an idea what you are buying.
Unfortunately, it looks like their shipping charge is $7 for the first pound, so shipping will be about half the cost of the kit itself. Oh well..

Thanks RocketHealer Jim!
This kit sounds better than the "egg" GSR that one finds in most catalogs and frequently Radio Shack. I would bet that it would be significantly helpful to more than 50% of those trying to assess the effectiveness of their technique.
Just using two hands instead of two fingers on ONE hand is better.
