meat tenderizer for stings of all kinds

I have discovered that meat tenderizer needs to be in everyone's first aid kit. Some examples from my life experiences:
1st experience: my husband, 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son were out in the ocean in Texas City, Texas and were stung by a portuguese man of war. My daughter was especially bad, her whole arm was covered in whelps and stings and she screamed in horrible pain. I ran to the ice cream man, who immediately grabbed a bottle of meat tenderizer. He sprinkled it all over my daughters arm and had me to rub it in, within seconds the pain had subsided and the whelps where noticably smaller. It was amazing.

2nd experience: My 9 year old son was picking up rocks and suddenly felt a pain in his hand. We could not find any sting marks, so we decided it must have been a fuzzy catepillar. Anyway, we used sticky tape over the whole area to pick up any hairs left by the catepillar(just in case), but he was in horrible pain. So we put an ice pack on the site, then I gave him benadryl and ibuprofen. The pain proceeded to go up his arm and settled in his arm pit. He was crying and complaining of heat and pain. Finally, it dawned on me, maybe meat tenderizer would work on this. So after about 15 minutes of trying other things, we got out the meat tenderizer. Within seconds of rubbing it on his hand and arm pit the pain subsided. Five minutes later he was outside playing as if nothing had happened. Believe me, meat tenderizer is going into all my first aid kits!

Meat tenderizer works great for bee stings too. Just add a little water & make a paste to put on the affected area. Works almost instantly.
