hi, my friend's apartment has recently been infested with bed bugs after returning from vacation. she has had a terrible rash from this. i would like to know if anyone is aware of essential oils that will help to repell these bugs. i have heard that patchouli is helpful?? thank you.

Hi Susan:
Patchouli might make them smell nice. I don't have any experience with bedbugs, but I'd get something stronger like tea tree oil. It's supposed to kill dust mites hiding in mattresses. Maybe you could use the two oils(?).

My husband just read that bedbugs are making a comeback. Sort of like false eyelashes and peg pants. LOL EEEEk.

OK i had these last summer. It is HELL living with them. Sorry to say, it's very expensive to get rid of em. You have to get an exterminator to spray the place at least 2 times (2 weeks apart) maybe 3. If the beds are really bad, you have to get rid of them. You have to wash EVERY PIECE OF CLOTHING in hot water.
These things hide in beds, any wood or dark cracks. And they reproduce like madmen.

Bed Bugs ARE coming back! They are a chore to get rid of!
