spider bite?

I have two places that are of concern and just learned that
my housemate has one of same. We live in a very old
farmhouse, so spider bites would be likely possibilities,
and are also very poor, so really want to know if this needs
to be treated.

the spots are round: dime size, with red ring and second
larger red ring, quarter size, around that one. The skin
inside the rings is discolored but there is NO dot in the
center as with typical tick bite, and neither of us believe
we've had a tick in ther area. The skin in the center of
the smallest circle is scaley, the area hardened.

Is this likely a recluse bite? If so, I assume it needs to
be seen by a physician? plea

My mom's had a number of spider bites over the years. If no pain or swelling develops, i don't think you have an infection. But I understand that poisonous insect bites can greatly drain vitamin C stores in the body. You might want to take a few thousand mgs of Ester vitamin C every day until the mark goes away. And drink some extra water.

Hi, tes.

How old is the lesion? Your next step totally depends on this information.

Remember that the ideal treatment for ANY bite is moistened meat tenderizer taped to the area ASAP to denature the protein in the venom. Do NOT apply heat.

Walt
