HG Diet Testimonial

Hi All,

I would like to tell you about my experience with the Elimination Diet and Hunter Gather Diet. About a year ago I did the elim diet and got through a few days of testing foods that would work with my HG metabolism. Then I fell back into my old habits of sugar, caffiene and fast food. At the time, I was feeling ok and was having serious opposition at home towards my efforts of healing myself. (I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis since I was 2 which is about 33 years). My husband not only didn't support my efforts, he ridiculed them. So I muddled along wondering why I always fell back on those terrible eating habits. Finally, I chose to really get to the root of whatever was going on with me and started seeing a counselor. That helped. Then a dear friend of mine asked me for the umpteenth time to try using essential oils and supplements with oils in them. This time I tried them. That really got things to moving. Both emotionally and physically I was confronting problems and getting through them quickly. As these things were happening and I was feeling better and better about myself, my relationship with my husband deteriorated more and more. The more I stood up for myself and felt better about myself, the more we clashed.

About the middle of August I realized that the best choice for me was to move out. Guess what, this conflict and turmoil brought on a really raging arthritis flare. I did move out and my joints were more painful and swollen every day, even the essential oils that had been helping were bringing only a little relief. When I got to the point where I was terrified that I would not be able to get out of bed the next morning, I realized that I would either have to ask someone to come and wait on me hand and foot, or go to a Dr and get some kind of nasty drugs, or lay in bed in excruciating pain for who knows how long....I chose to get back on the HG diet. On Monday of this week I forced myself to get up and cook whole foods that I already had tested a year ago. I went off all supplements and will test them one by one when my symptoms clear enough for me to know which ones are ok for me to take. I continued using the essential oils topically. By Wednesday I was about 50% better. On Friday I got a Raindrop Therapy treatment (using essential oils and vita flex therapy) and was really starting to be able to move again! Today I feel like I have improved by about 85% over what I was last Sunday. Each day I can do something I couldn't do the previous day or do things easier than I could the previous day! Amazing how easy it is to make good food choices when the alternative is so awful!

I hope this helps anyone who has been wondering if going through the Ediet and finding your correct metabolic diet is worth it. IT IS!!!

Namaste'
Lori

Hi Lori,

Thanks for your testimonial. Unfortunately you are not the first person that I know that found themselves in a compromised situation with their significant other that ended in a break.

All these things seem more than a little bizzare to that significant other that is enjoying realative health. Pain brings you to the quick realization of what you must do to get well. Your changes inevitably bring on frustration, resentment and ultimately anger since those alterations in YOUR lifestyle are bound to effect those around you.

Bob
