ELIMINATION DIET DAY 4 Robert mcferran

Posted by steve lyles on December 03, 1998 at 15:25:26:

well here we are on day#4 and I can begin to see a familiar pattern evolving! It seems that when I make pretty drastic dietary changes the first couple of days I feel pretty good then I appear to become sensitized to the particular foods
that I have switched to,especially the fish in this case!
it certainly does not appear to be withdrawals or clearing, but we shall see!still am very constipated

Steve,

I doubt that you have become 'sensitized' to these foods after such a short time. I believe what you are experiencing is a metabolic shifting that is giving way to your minor ups and downs.

As you can see there are several foods on the Elimination diet that are not wholly appropriate for Agriculturists. Don't worry about eating them for now. You might experiment with not eating ANY fish and see how you feel.

Fish is the food richest in purines in the elimination diet. If you are an EXTREME Agriculturist even this small amount of purines could shift your metabolism away from it's optimals to that point where you could feel symptoms.
