Gaaaaagggggg.....I think someone forgot to mention what the magnesium citrate taste like! I don't know if I'll get to "retire" for the evening if I have to drink this Clorox stuff. If I don't already have a leaky gut, I will when the Clorox finishes off the stomach. I'm still sipping on the first glass! Geezzzzz, I just started and already it's a challenge!

Phyllis,
If you dilute it at least one to one and have it REALLY cold over ice you'll have your best bet of nullifying any taste.

Hi Phyllis,
You say the first glass is awful--how many glasses of it do you have to choke down? Stay the course - my thoughts are with you.

Phyllis,
Gaaaaagggggg is correct, although that doesn't quite say it all, and one is left grasping for even more descriptive words. I've had to take this stuff before, so I knew what I was getting in to, although time has a way of "softening" the memory (kind of like with childbirth). Then you go through it again, and the full force of the memory hits you like a mack truck!
I knew (for me) this was going to be the worst part of the elimination diet. First, getting the stuff down, then enduring the wonderful experience of it's action. I took the first dose an hour and 45 minutes ago, and it still hasn't done anything - but I know it WILL. It is extremely efficient stuff. I know it's going to be a LONG night. Think I'll put in a funny movie so I don't lose my sense of humor (although my sarcasm is still safely intact).
Hang in there Phyllis; it's just starting to get INTERESTING!
Sara
Thanks for the serving suggestion Bob!

Hello fellow travelers, I miscalculated my timing about drinking the brew... I'm going to be up late tonight drinking this yummy concoction :-) I have decided that one of the things that I will do during this experience is to try and meditate as much as possible. That should help. I've never ingested clorox... but somehow I could imagine it to taste like this. My modem has had a miraculous recovery. I'm much relieved!
Best,
Denise

Denise,
Glad you'll be able to communicate with us through this (e-mail and BB), especially in those first few trying days. If you've never tasted Clorox in water, you should come visit me sometime. I live in Maryland, about 25 miles south of Washington DC. I don't know why they do it, but they put so much chlorine in the water here, you can smell it AND taste it. Taking a real hot shower gives me a headache because the smell of chlorine is so thick in the air.
Anyway, your idea of meditating tonight while ingesting the tasty cocktail sounds like a wonderful idea, and should help you to better tolerate the effects of the stuff. I know I will be up late; still no action from the first dose (which I took over 2 hours ago), and in about 45 minutes I take the second dose. It's going to be a long night.....
Am going to go now and follow your suggestion and meditate.
Sara
