I ordered Alka-Seltzer Gold from my grocery store pharmacy. Just a couple questions I would like to get out of the way. Must I do the magnesium citrate drink? On the copy of the elimination diet that I have it says to continue all medications. Is this correct? I'm not taking any major medications, but do use a very low dose hormone replacement patch. I take one over-the counter Zantac at night for GERD, but have a feeling once I eliminate allergenic foods I won't need it.

The magnesium citrate basically will induce diarhea. You can see where that would speed elimination of what is currently in your digestive tract.
You can continue any meds and still do the diet. The day that I suggest that anyone stop taking their prescription drugs is the day I probably get sued.
As for the Zantac I'll suggest that you use your good judgement.
