Hi all, Well my dearheart is leaving town once more and taking the good computer with him (sigh). I just realized that Walt had sent me an important message and because of me having the clunky slow computer with a combination of bad brain fog and fatigue I missed reading it. Now I am sort of bumming it because I perhaps should have given some consideration to staying on the e-diet longer. Well anyway, I missed getting that message. So the reason I am telling you this is to make a request. If you have an important message for me over the next couple of days leave it at the top of the message board. That way if my brain goes bonkers I will still possibly see the message and read it.
I'm just praying that I didn't mess up by starting the food testing phase too soon. Walt I wasn't ignoring you and had I seen the message I would have taken your advice. I am getting some responses...so am feeling OK about the testing but I understand what you are saying about staying on the elimination phase longer.

Wish I could help! Sorry about the brain fog and fatigue - hope that goes away soon for you.
As far as the e-diet goes, maybe all you need to do is just go back to strictly eating the e-diet foods again for awhile, and then start the food testing again where you left off (I know Bob will have to answer that one). I'm sure you're concerned about having to drink the lovely MC cocktail again, but hopefully that won't be necessary ;-)
Sorry you're losing your good computer again - will post any messages to you right at the top of the BB!
thanks Sara/reply to Johnelle

Hi all, Sorry I must have made that last message confusing. My brain fog and fatigue is much better now, well I think it is anyway (grin). I was referring to having missed an important message from Walt that he wrote a few days ago. The last couple of days (thank goodness) I have felt increasing energy and clarity. I have a bit to go in the clarity department, but I do feel as though the cloud has lifted.
Johnelle, you asked earlier today what my "reaction" was to the peas. I would say the brain fog was the most serious symptom. I couldn't even tell you what time it was when I went to lay down for recovery afterwards I just felt really tired, my face itched, and I got a slight headache. I went to bed and slept it off and felt sort of hung over from my bout with snow peas of all things.
All in all I would say that my energy level is increasing every day now. My quality of life is improving with the added variety to the diet. I am realizing that I can do this and it doesn't have to be awful. The food is getting better and better, there is some learning about what works and what doesn't but I am able to make it interesting. Although my breakfast fare leaves something to be desired. I would like for eggs to work. Which by the way...Johnelle, my reaction to eggs was a mild to moderate reaction. A couple of hours after eating a hard boiled egg I got a slight head ache and my arms felt weak and rubbery. So all in all I have had 2 reactions. Since my egg episode was mild I might try them again. I grow my own eggs, whoops I mean I grow chickens who lay eggs. So if I have to gather the eggs I would like to also eat them, or else I'm gonna make stew out of them so I don't have to gather eggs anymore. That's just the way it is around here on the farm :-) except for the llamas. I don't eat them!
OK folks it has been a long day for this cowgirl. I'm going to go soak in a hot bath and will tune in tomorrow.
hasta la vista,
