ive got a question?
im a male in my mid twentys and am pretty active- i just started going to a gym about a month ago to get back in shape - not that im out but to get in better shape. anyways - ive been drinking alot of protein drinks and this and that. im wondering if taking a complete vitamin supplement like centrum and drinking lets say 2 vitamin drinks like " glaceau " vitamin water and a protein drink and them maybe a power drink that has lots of glutamin and taurine and all that jazz is okay to do in a day. can you consume too many vitamins. reading the labels = they mainly are B vitamins and A vitamins. i also usually start the day with a carnation drink. just trying to get some feedback on if im consuming too much if its good or bad.

Hi, Sambo.
I am still of the opinion that no one is as smart as Mother Nature yet!
A perfect whole foods diet and PERHAPS a concentrated whole food supplement (see the archives) is still going to be the best body building formula. However, because it makes no money for anyone, you will not see that advertized!
Too many micronutrients needed to build muscle tissue efficiently are still being discovered. As each one is discovered, a whole new industry springs up around it--and then another one is discovered the next week!

I agree 100% with Walt on this one. Your body will take what it needs from the food. Whole food supplements are the SMARTEST way to get your extra nutrients for now.
