hydroxyapatite for fx scaphoid

You recommend hydroxyapatite for osteoporosis. How about for a fractured scaphoid? What dosage per day? My 18-year-old son had surgery 10 days ago to repair a fracture that occured 3 weeks ago. The scaphoid was fractured into 3 pieces and he now has a screw holding it together and is in a cast. Also, what about a bone growth stimulator in this kind of injury? The surgeon wants it now, but insurance won't pay until two months out with a "nonunion." We will figure out how to pay for it if it will really benefit him to have it sooner rather than later.

Hi, Laura.

Can't hurt!

Dosage is 2000 milligrams twice a day.

If this were MY child I would be insisting upon Becker's trickle charge apparatus from the beginning.

Is this trickle charge apparatus you refer to the same as the $4500 bone growth stimulator my doctor is recommending? You can see it here:

If not, where can I get Dr. Becker's machine? I have been unable to find it online.
Thank you so much for your advice.

Yes, Laura.

It is based on Dr Becker's work. Of course HIS apparatus was simple and extremely inexpensive. Before the conventional medical monopoly would begin to use it they had to figure out a way to make a lot of money on it. Dr Becker would roll over in his grave if he could see what has been done with his discovery!
