Hi Everyone,
I just finished reading this book and HIGHLY recommend it. This book tells you how to balance insulin, serotonin, and beta-endorphin. It tells you how to eliminate the taxation in your diet and tunes you into how your brain is reacting neurochemically to what you've consumed. I don't drink alcohol, smoke, or consume caffeine, but this book covers all of that and especially sugar sensitivity. It's about people who naturally have a low serotonin and beta-endorphin output and how the brain compensates. I'm not sure why these low levels of the neurochemicals exist--I didn't read any explanation of it, except perhaps "heredity". It could be related to some of the stress mechanisms. It's definitely a book with information to factor into one's thinking about food and stress. The Internet site for the book is http://www.radiantrecovery.com. Mary J.
