I would like to know if anyone could recommend a book -- or books -- that discuss the following:
How pharmaceutical companies monopolize the health industry due to their large financial resources, and all of the money and politics involved in terms of patents of their pharmaceutical medications.
And how with natural supplements, there is not the same level of research money as is provided by the pharmaceutical companies for their drugs, and the reasons behind this. And how the pharmaceutical companies may even determine what is taught in medical schools.
Also, a book that discusses the difference between synthetic drugs vs. natural remedies, and the effect of synthetic drugs in the human body.
And also, a book that discusses how some main stream medications are actually derived from natural substances, such as lithium, aspirin, or nystatin, etc., and the explanation as to if there are patents or proprietary rights to these medications by the pharmaceutical companies, being that they are "natural," and why most other natural supplements do not have the same proprietary rights, and so can be sold by anyone.
I have read these opinions in snippets here and there in a paragraph or two in a book or on the web, but would like to find a good book that contains detailed discussion of the above. Also, any detailed articles on the web would be good to have, too.
Thank you for your suggestions!

Hi,Nancy N.
Start with the books recommended in "Why My License was Revoked" on the home page.
Those will lead you to the rest of what you want to know if you need more,
Please share what you learn with the BB.

Dr. Stoll,
I went to the page you mentioned, but the only book mentioned by title is yours (which I've ordered but haven't received yet). At the bottom of that page is a link, Conventional vs. Alternative Medicine (References), but when I click on it, the link doesn't work.
Thank you for your help.

Boy, Nancy N.
The gremlins have been busy! I really appreciate your interest in this!
Here is a partial list that was supposed to be where I told you:
"Assault on Medical Freedom" by P. Joseph Lisa, published by Hamptom Roads in 1994.
"Racketeering in Medicine" by James Carter, MD, published by Hamptom Roads in 1992.
"The Great Medical Monopoly Wars" published by P. Joseph Lisa in 1886.
"Dirty Medicine" by Martin Walker, published by Slingshot Publications in 1993.
"Divided Legacy" by Harris Coulter, PhD, published in 4 volumes by North Atlantic Books(1973-1994).
"Planet Medicine" by Hichard Grossinger, PhD, piublished by Anchor Books in 1980.
"Health at the Crossroads" by Dean Black, published by Tapestry Press in 1988.
"Pigs in the Dirt" by Dean Black, published by Tapestry Press in 1993.
That should get you started. I stopped reading this stuff years ago because my own personal experience matches so well and I get angry every time I hear or read about it.
Please share any more recent publications you find with the BB.
Namaste`
Walt

Dr. Stoll,
It may take me a while to get all these books and read and assimilate them, but I will definitely share what I learn and any other books that I find with the BB.
Thank you for your wonderful website and the time and energy you devote to helping people!
