KMD, when I looked at the contents of the latest edition, I recognized many topics I saw in the old edition. So, how much is different between the two?

Since "Beyond Disease Care" is the revised, (greatly) expanded edition of "Saving Yourself," it naturally contains the same information (although re-written, consolidated and re-organized) as the first book but also contains the following completely new topics: Headaches, Ear Infections, Stool Withholding, Adult Acne, Sebaceous Cysts, Cancer, Rebounding, Preventing Body Odor, Hot Compresses, AK, EFAs, Intracellular Magnesium, Elimination Diets, Unnecessary Antibiotics, and how to read/use your medical records. It also contains a full Glossary.
With the Index, the book comes to 211 full-sheet pages, which will be approximately 380 pages when sized for a 6X9 inch dimension. So, "Beyond Disease Care" is more than twice the size of "Saving Yourself" and will be very user-friendly in its organization and much easier to use than searching the archives on this site.

Good. Have you considered making available an electronic version of the book? I prefer that to a paper version because it takes much less space, is lighter, and makes searching for information easier.

Haven't considered it thus far but since we are self-publishing we retain all rights and have the freedom to do whatever with its contents including making electronic and/or audio versions, publishing booklets and/or submitting excerpts to magazines.
First, however, we have to focus on getting it published in paper version and breaking even from the up-front costs.

Since publishing in electronic form is practically cost-free, adding this form of distribution could help you break even sooner. Perhaps, setting up a survey on your web site or whereever you are marketing it would be a good idea to let you know if it's worth bothering with.

Thanks for the idea. Maybe Walt will see this and let us know his thoughts.

I am totally clueless about this approach.

Are you clueless about what it is or what is involved in creating it?
I can tell you what it is briefly. It is essentially a computer file that contains the book. It can be read on a computer. Many books are sold in electronic form now, either exclusively or in addition to paper version. Some readers (like me, for instance) prefer the electronic form because it takes virtually no physical space and makes moving from a place to a place easier, doesn't create a need to buy new book shelves, and makes searching for information within the book much easier, while others prefer the paper version because they can lie down on a couch to read it and because they simply don't like to read a lot on a computer monitor.

Thanks, R.
I guess I do not understand how the authors are able to copyright their electronic book or how they can possibly recoup their expenses.

That's the downfall - piracy of available downloads and also illegal sharing. How can anyone prevent this?
