Recapture Your Health

Jan and Walt,

To echo the previous posts, this book is great.

I was surprised at the nice size of it and love the little color photos of you two on the back.

The first night I got it I couldn't put it down. Seriously, It's entertaining and inspirational. Four books came from Amazon separately when I got yours from Colorado---a Bible study, a friendship book, a paint your house tips book, and one other----but this is the one I couldn't put down when I meant to just be leafing through everything. It holds your attention.

The part about maybe you can't afford a holistic Dr. or drive that far made me feel so much better. I often feel guilty for going to a conventional Dr. at all.

The SR Section already made me change completely what I do & I can see by glancing at the whole foods section that my diet that is partially whole foods is actually probably only 10% right. (ha) I look forward to reading the rest of it over & over, I know! Thanks for the definitions. You wouldn't believe what I thought some of the concepts were.

What a great job!

Barb:
I agree. We got it in the mail and I read the first 60 some pages so fast and then looked through the rest and only now realize what I thought some terms meant too...funny isn't it?

These 2 together are a fabulous team and I am digging in it tomorrow because now I can ask some really good questions because I am learning so much too.

So well done.

I just got a new job after leaving a very stressful situation with my last position. Once I settle down, I intend to look up the references Dr. Stoll made and them perhaps buy books related to SR. Which of his books are good for SR?

Raman,
It would be great if you posted your question separately like mine and I'm sure Jan or Walt would answer--you know put "Need help with SR" or something. Actually, this book here Recapture Your Health is really good with suggestions.

Also a long time ago Walt told me to get "Relaxation & Stress Reduction Workbook" by Martha Davis, Elizabeth Robbins Eshelman, and Matthew McKay, but I had to special order it even back then. It's very good and helpful but might be hard to get now.

Someone just told me to get John Mason's book from Amazon - "Guide to Stress Reduction." It was very cheap but hasn't come yet.

But my first choice for you would be just to get Recapture Your Health by Walt Stoll and Jan DeCourtney.
I hope this helps. Good luck!
