Gallbladder/Stone Pain

Posted by Elaine Davenport., on September 21, 2002 at 15:57:40:

I'd like to know if gallbladder pain can be felt in the following places? First rib under breast (with pain upon palpation) the whole right side, upper and middle back, shoulder? In my case, if it is even stones, both shoulder blades hurt too, but in my case, I have tenderness all over those areas upon touching it, I have no upper quadrant pain/tenderness, and the pain is gone at night when I sellep and when I get up in the morning, but once I get to work and move around, type, walking, carrying, etc., it comes back again. Could I be dealing with something completely different than gallstones? This has been going on for over a week, it started after I lifted something and rested it against my chest. Thank you for any info you can give me on this. Elaine
btw Im a 45 yr old female, not overweight eat well balanced foods.

Hi Elaine, can you be more specific about your pain. Gallbladder pain is in those areas, but its excruciating and doesn't let up for hours. Its not just something you feel when you touch those areas. I have gallbladder attacks when I experience intense stomach pain. It seems to set off my gallbladder. I had ultrasound and it didn't reveal any stones. Some of your symtoms almost sound like costochondris. Usually gallbladder pain is worse after laying down after eating.

Hi, Elaine.

Listen to Barb.

Since bracing is the cause of nearly all costo and is indirectly at least an aggravating factor is all LGS (what is behind problems with the gallbladder) relieving bracing will certainly help.

See the liver archives and the bracing and the costochondritis archives and let us know what you learn.

Are you saying Dr. Stoll that this IS gallbladder, or costochondritis? Or both?

Hi, Elaine.

Could be either or both! I would have to examine you to tell.

Dr. Stoll is no longer licensed to see patients. Shame isn't it?

Namaste`

I didnt know, what happened to his license? They just took it away from him like that? I never heard of a doctor losing his license to practice.
