Just recently my scalp has started to hurt around the crown. Mores specifically it feels like the hair folicles are sore. It hurts to brush my hair around this part of my head. I wash my hair every day and don't always blow it dry (I let it air dry sometimes). I am also noticing a lot of hair loss. It seems more than usual. I have thick long hair and am scared that I am losing it. What can I do?

Hi, Harlybetty.
This is caused mostly by bracing of the scalp muscles and the trapezius.
A good head and neck massage 3 times a week will stop the symptoms in their tracks within 2 weeks.
THEN, when you are convinced that I know what I am talking about, come back ahd get "the rest of the story".
