frostbite in testicles

Posted by cr [2028.4] on April 29, 2004 at 14:47:16:

due to an unfortunate incident, i ended up being in wet pants in subzero temps for a couple of hours (both inside and outside). i had my testicles checked by a couple of doctors and they said they were fine, no infection (urine checked). i took painkillers and the pain (and frequent urination and "retracted" testicles) went away within a week.

i was fully operational for three months since the incident, until a month ago i started experiencing frequent urination, discomfort (especially when sitting) and "retracted" testicles again. i eventually saw a doctor and i was diagnosed with chronic prostatitis (due to the initial incident) on the basis of my symptoms and a physical examination. my symptoms have since gotten better, but i still experience discomfort or pelvic tension which i believe is mostly because of my fear of freezing my testicles.

could anyone shed any light on to what one would actually experience if they had frozen their testicles and whether this could the case with me?

i thought i'd mention that i have no loss of feeling in the testicles or the scrotum. the skin is normal, normal feeling and i can feel pain normally on the testicles if i tap them slightly.

Hi, CR.

Due to your experience and the normal fear factor following you have developed chronic bracing in the area and can reverse it by learning about bracing. See the glossary and the archives about bracing and let us know what you learn.

Walt
