Hi I thought i would come aboard onto this site because of much pam speaks of it. My story can be found at this address.
http://www.info-implants.com/SAK/intro.html
I have had a bilateral mastectomy in 1989 at the age of 28 and then they did immediate reconstruction with implants which ended up being disasterous for me, so 17 operations later and then the bilateral tram procedure i am now disabled and on permanent disability because of all this. I was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and my neuro has no doubts about silicone being the main cause of this, amongst other things. my entire story can be found on the link and the photos of some of this.

B.B. mentioned that men get mutilated with implants also, but simply don't admit it. How come you have provided a link to a page that does not show the horrible mutilations suffered by men?
This link features testimonials by men who are satisfied for God's sake! with their implants.
And not one reference to a man who had the implants for "cosmetic purposes." Why to a man they had "erectile disfunction." Is that the name of a new kind of scar or blemish? Perhaps it is a new way of refering to length or girth?
Perhaps B.B. can explain. Show me the mutilation, show me the cosmetic alteration.
Truthfully this creeps me out just as much as a woman going to "get her breasts done." The body still being violated. I have sympathy but not much. You still haven't shown me the victims...
Lightwalking,
Gregory

There's a link for male breast implants. I have been told that those were made of silicone, too. But, I will have to ask someone.

It appears you need to see someone you classify as a victim, trying checking this site out maybe you'll like this also and think it is alright also. I am trying to figure out why you are even interested in this issue. Do you know someone that had this happen to them. I by the way don't like it when the word victim is used but hey what ever!!

I guess after you have looked at this you'll find some way to blame me instead of who really is to blame, but what ever. I was wondering are you employed in the medical industry??

Sandra,
I now use the search by date and exclude one name from being listed. Read your post and believe he was being sarcastic as the website indicated these implants were due to health and surgical reasons. That the men didn't willingly go in for this operation for cosmetic reasons, but health issues. IMHO, he sees this surgery different than breast augmentation which results in mutilations.

OOPS Never read the penile part of the message. There are men though who have been harmed from tehse will have to get the info put out on that.

To be talkied about third person as if one doesn't exist!
Well ladies? How you reached a concensus on the whole penile implant question?
Pam? You seem to be quite good and finding surgical procedures gon wrong.
Have any penile implants gone wrong and resulted in penis mutilation?
How about you B.B.? You seem to be quite the cheerleader for sympathy, and yet there
seems to be no one at that sight in need of sympathy. They all seem quite happy with
their implants! Of course no "before and after" to better tug at one's heartstrings
or evole one's sense of outrage, but nary a complaint. These blokes look like
they not only went willingly, but had everything explained to them beforehand.
Can't say that I see much the same between this and say Sandra's case. Even though
I followed her links to the deepest level, there were no accompanying shots of what
a penile implant looks like new, what a "failed implant" looks like, what a failed
procedure looks like and most of all, a site full of bitter, mutilated men warning
others not to have this procedure done.
I don't work for the medical industry. I feel strongly about violating one's body
for the purpose of "looking good."
I believe that it is a profound example of not listening to the bodymind. So the whole thing about
breast cancer followed by breast reconstruction and then the subsequent "personal holocost" of
failed breast reconstruction would certainly have have a cause although not one which is likely
to be considered.
It is far easier to believe in randomness and accidents then in ignoring warning signs, failing
to take care of one's self, planning, and information. There are no conincidences. Everything happens for a reason. The universe is an ordered place
and the things that "happen" and that appear "random" are all carefully staged and under intelligent
control.
Maybe the starting point for my seeming cruelty and lack of compassion is why did these women or (or why
anyone) chooses the illnesses to manifest into their lives.
It seems that there is a distinct lack of spirituality in this culture. Walt touches on it briefly,
but shys away for fear of conflict.
Endlessly you discuss this aliment and that ailment, its cause, it's cure, with only a token nod
to the mind part of the equation and none at all to the spiritual.
Privately you may ask "God" "why has this happened to me" and never once has
your Higher Self why this has been arranged or even understand the answer when you get it.
Like all that matters is the physical. No arguement there. The nature of any ailment is certainly
attention-getting. Precious little posting about what it means in the bigger picture.
Just seems to me that if one had been "listening," either mutilation could have been have been
avoideded or understood in a larger context of one's life circumstances.
It is my "opinion" that there are no "victims."
attitude is one of "They had it coming."
B.B. I can't tell you how pleased I am that you will no longer be including me in your list
of posters to be read. That should certainly give you the kind of experience you seek where
everything conforms to your preconceived notions of the way the world works. Can't have any
nasty opposing ideas ruining your world view or introducing incongrency or disjoint can we?
Sandra & Pam, I suggest you to the same. It will so improve your board reading experience.
You'll thank me for it. The world will be a much nicer place.
Gregory
