Maybe this will help

Hi, Jo.
The pleura is the slippery lining of the lungs and the chest cavity that contains the lungs. Without it, no one could ever breathe. Pleurisy is inflamation or infection of that lining. It can be viral, allergic or bacterial and the treatment is determined by the etiologic agent.
Hope this helps.

Walt,
have you ever heard that men and wemen breathe differently
and one heaves the chesat and the other expands the stomach?
I would imagine wemen heave their chests to accidate a
pregnancy.
When I work out and my stretchy back support is over my
stomach I have had a discomfort like the muscles were tight
or restricted. Moving the front part to my abdomen
eliminates this.

Hi, Vince.
EVERYONE would be heathier if they learned about the critical role correct breathing has in their function. There are literally dozens of books on the subjest.
We mostly have just assumed that we are instant experts on breathing because we automaticaly take our first (and subsequent) breaths without coaching. However, that reflex just keeps us alive. For optimal health, we have to build on that reflex.
Thanks for bringing this up!
Namaste`
