Breast Cancer Prevention Diet

Posted by Pam on June 05, 2002 at 21:16:41:

Dr. Stoll:

I read a book, The Breast Cancer Prevention Diet, by Dr. Bob Arnot.

I then made out my grocery list to include Tofu, broccoli, garlic, oranges, sardines, whole-wheat fiber, olive oil, etc.

I excluded the foods that would help breast cancer to grow.

Also, I purchased Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin C, a soy drink mix, and Green Tea Extract.

These are all the things that the body needs to fight breast cancer.

So, I feel like I am on my way to helping my body to fight against the disease.

If I could go back to when I was diagnosed with cancer, I would not have any mammograms, but would have ultrasounds and thermograms.

I would go on this breast cancer diet, and have radiation for the tumor (from my naturopathic oncologist-radiologist).

I would find an on-line group that supported holistic practices, and I would subcribe to Dr. Ralph Moss's Cancer Decisions newsletter.

Also, I would seek harmony and balance in my mind, body and spirit -- getting rid of all those things that stressed me (including bosses and spouses).

That means I would give up the hectic, fast-paced life I lived, and find the path of least resistance.

Oh, and by the way, I had a mammogram 3 years before I was diagnosed with cancer. The mammogram SHOWED NOTHING.

So, I do wonder now, if smushing my breast in that mammogram thing and having radiation sent through my body, had something to do with causing the cancer?!

Thanks,
Pam

Good for you Pam for taking responsibility for your own
health and are taking positive steps to take care of your
health.

That book sounds very interesting. I was happy to read
that several things I eat every week (broccoli, olive oil,
garlic and sardines) are on there.

I know what you mean about the mammograms. I had
my first mammogram last year and was very leary of the
whole thing. Later a co-worker told me her ob/gyn
suggested she get one too. She asked me what it was
like, since I had just had one. I told her the best way to
prepare for it was to to take off all her clothes
(preferably in winter time when it's really chilly), go to
the refrigerator, open the freezer section, place her
breast in between the door and the freezer and slam
the door as hard as she could on her breast. Hold the
door as tight as she could in the closed position (with
breast inside of course) for a minute then repeat
several times before switching to the other breast. Then
to finish it off she should lie on an ice cold floor with her
breasts face down for about ten minutes, preferably
with someone standing on her back for extra pressure.
If she did all this she would know exactly what a
mammogram was like!

Elisa:

Thanks for the positive feedback. :)

I had a dream 7 days ago. The man in the dream said that I could have my old house back. I asked how could I have my house when it had been sold. He said that they owners never finished paying for it and he made a deal for me to get it back.

This man said the home was all mine to do with as I pleased. When I woke up, I felt a lot of resolution in my life.

Since the dream, I have felt like I now own my own house. The house represents myself, my spirit, my temple. I feel like I now control my life and body, instead of the medical establishment.

Thank You,
Pam

Thanks, Pam, for the practical advice.

The most recent, conservative article in conventional medical journals has documented that the incidence of breast cancer has increased by more than 200% just since routine mammograms have been recommended.

I would also point out that raw foods contain enzymes that can digest tumors and slow the spread of cancer so it would pay to get more raw foods in your diet and vegetable juices. Also, a product called RM-10 is getting great results in early preliminary studies against different types of cancer.

I'm sick of the medical establishment and the news media

Dr. Stoll:

Thanks for the information. I'm feeling a little angry, right now, at the medical establishment and all the backward logic and nonsense that is coming from them.

They are creating "memes." They are brain-washing us. They are controlling our bodies and our minds and our money.

I can tell you from experience, that I have approached the news media with the problems, and they SHUT ME DOWN.

So, I just shut them down, by turning off their biased, un-balanced news reports on TV and radio.

I'm sick of their drug advertisers who harp day & night about a current prescription drug they are peddling.

Those advertisments serve as some kind of Informed Consent, but as usual, they LEAVE OUT THE ALTERNATIVES.

When I went to the WBNS TV 10 News web site, I noticed that they had a link to a plastic surgery web site.

I emailed them and wanted to know why they were giving FREE ADVERTISING TO PLASTIC SURGEONS. Their response was that they want to INFORM THE PUBLIC about plastic surgery, so the public can make decisions!!

Grrrrrrrr.

I do turn on YOUR HEALTH with Doug Kaufmann, on Family Net T.V. And I DO read Redflagsweekly, etc.
